Our story begins at the dawn of time.
However, Ajia & Dakotah didn’t meet each other until November in the year of our lord 2022 and it took us less than 2 years to be married with a child and another on the way and a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence. Fools rush in.
River Sage was born dead in 2023 but got better. She had a surgically installed feeding tube in her stomach for most of her life so far and was recently diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Her upcoming surgery (September 10th) will stitch the tube hole closed. River enjoys ska music, pretending to read books, Ms. Rachel’s voice, & the planet Jupiter.
Star Zephyr was born in 2025 with a ventricular septal heart defect requiring open heart surgery (October 21). The doctor’s name is Dr. Moon so that’s pretty cool. Star currently tends to spend her time watching ceiling fans, chewing on wood, roughhousing with her big sister, & laughing at the alphabet poster.
We are encouraging them both to become recreational rocket-ship race pilots & the first sibling co-presidents of the USA so that they will have the network and funding to do whatever they want with their lives afterwards. We hope they can count on your vote in the election of 2060.
Ajia Leilani is a UX Researcher who helps improve government products and services. When time permits, Ajia makes electronic music, tattoos Dakotah, and giggles at baby farts.
Dakotah Taylor studied eastern philosophy abroad and is a stay at home parent, published poet, & video game speedrunner. Dakotah has helped save an ancient tree from destruction, been elected to a municipal government office, and once tried to build a new Internet.
